Virginia Lipps was the 1st lay teacher at Holy Family school. She was a parishioner and the niece of Cardinal Ritter. The photo was undated but the calendar is from 1957.

Audrey's first kindergarten classes were in her home.
Ev was the guy to go to if you needed to know anything about the physical plant or its history.
Sr. Rose is at the right in the pictures. Sister was the reader at most weekday Masses. She had also been president of the Legion of Mary.

Four Providence Nuns arrived at Holy Family in August 1954. School began in September. They taught 188 students the first year.

Sister Paul, the Superior at the time, taught the 5th and 6th grades Sister Mary Anselm taught the 7th and 8th grades
Sister Rose Imelda taught the 3rd and 4th grades
Sister Marie Justin taught the 1st and 2nd grades
